We're all about making a difference while living our best lives.

At Lima Pathology Associates, we strive to make a difference in the communities we serve. We pride ourselves in the excellent pathology coverage our group provides to six area hospitals. Beyond the microscope, we also want to grow with our hospitals. That’s why we also serve on multiple medical staff leadership committees, teach residents, and take an active role engaging with our clinician colleagues.

The work we do.

Across our hospital systems we see a wide variety of general pathology. This includes routine surgical pathology, bone marrows, peripheral smears, as well as both gyn and non-gyn cytopathology cases. We also cover frozen section and ROSE procedures such as thyroid FNA cases. No autopsies are performed. As a group we sign out approximately 30,000 surgical cases and 2500 non-gyn cytology cases per year.

Have a tough case? Our group includes a dermatopathologist, hematopathologist, and cytopathologist. We share cases around the multi-headed scope every day!

Call coverage is split evenly between the pathologists. A typical call week involves a handful of questions by phone in the evening, 1-2 hours each weekend day on site, and the possibility of a late frozen (or maybe two).

We have 2 excellent pathology assistants who cover grossing at our main hospital. There is a small amount of grossing performed by the pathologists at our smaller hospitals.

Life Beyond the Hospitals

Outside of work we all enjoy a variety of hobbies and have ample time to spend with our families. Whether it’s Dr. Feasel coaching his kids’ soccer team, Dr. Wendroth’s beekeeping, or Dr. Kuhn working with the Lima Symphony, we’re just as committed to our personal lives as we are our careers.

Beyond our own hobbies, we also have a great time together outside work. Just this summer alone the pathologists have competed at a local group trivia, traveled to a Dave Chapelle comedy show together, and hosted a “Pathology and Friends” bonfire night.

What’s it like living here?
