Where we’ve made our home
The Lima area is a great place to live and raise a family. Located in rural northwest Ohio with all the benefits of country living, we are also close enough for day trips to multiple metropolitan areas including Columbus, Detroit, Cincinnati, and Cleveland.
Local Downtowns
The last decade in downtown Lima is a story of growth, revitalization, and grand openings. New restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and boutique stores are opening every year. Some of our favorites are The Met Restaurant, Touch of Europe Bakery, and The Meeting Place coffee shop. Just over the last year thecity has added the Spring and Main entertainment district and the outdoor Pangle Pavilion and Amphitheater.
The towns around Lima are also worth the short drives. Wapakoneta is the home of Neil Armstrong and hosts the Moon Festival every summer. Findlay sports a vibrant restaurant scene, and Bowling Green has all the amenities of a college town.
Raising a family here
Our kids are the most important part of our lives and finding a place to raise them was one of the most critical decisions we’ve made. The pathologists have kids ranging from newborns to young adults. The area has some of the best schools in Ohio. From preschool at Shawnee Weekday or The Learning Academy, to high school at Shawnee local or Lima Central Catholic, there is a place for our kids to excel.
The pathologists’ recent high school grads have gone on to such excellent schools including Vanderbilt University, Miami University, Northwestern University, and the Air Force Academy.
If you decide the group is right for you, rest assured your children will find a place to learn and succeed here too!
